A case of hurting the religious sentiments of people of a particular religion on yog guru and owner of patanjali Baba Ramdev was registered in the month of February under Indisn Penal Code sections 153A, 295A and 298 at the Chauhtan police station in Barmer district, Rajasthan. Describing the FIR lodged in the police station as baseless and the allegations leveled against him false, Baba Ramdev had filed a petition in the High Court demanding cancellation of the complaint and a stay on the arrest. Justice Manoj Kumar Garg, Jaipur bench of Rajasthan high court after hearing the case, while giving interim relief to the petitioner baba Ramdev stayed his arrest and ordered him to appear before the investigating officer by May 20. The petitioner said in the court that the allegations leveled against him are baseless, the complaint has been filed on the basis of wrong facts, the state government informed the court regarding the complaint filed. The court has issued notice to the complainant Pathai Khan and the government and directed them to file a reply in the court by July 2023 before the next hearing of the case. The court, while giving interim relief to the petitioner, has stayed his arrest in connection with the FIR No. 0030/ 2023 lodged at Chauhtan police station. According to the case, A case has been filed against Baba Ramdev for allegedly hurting the sentiments of a particular religion and disturbing communal harmony in the Chauhtan police station of Barmer district for allegedly making controversial remarks in a gathering of saints. On February 2, 2023, Baba Ramdev was addressing a gathering of saints in Barmer, where Baba Ramdev allegedly made controversial remarks.Pathai Khan, a local resident of Chauhtan, had filed a case against Baba Ramdev for this alleged remark made in the meeting of saints.
