The answer to this question has been given by the special court of Indore formed under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses Act.According to the case, on 5 November 2018, a woman resident of Indore lodged a complaint with the Banganga police station.On November 3, 2018, at around 8:00 pm, his 15-year-old son had gone to the market to buy milk, since then he has not returned home.It is suspected that some unknown person has taken the son away with him by seducing him. Police started investigation on the complaint of the woman.After a few days the police traced the minor from Gujarat.The minor was living in a rented house in Gujarat with a 19-year-old girl, the police arrested that girl and brought her with them.The minor told in the interrogation of the police that this girl from Rajasthan called him and said that I had a fight with my family members, I am leaving my house and going to Gujarat, you also come with me.The minor fell under her spell and the girl coaxed the minor to take her to Gujarat.After reaching Gujarat, the girl employed the minor in a company.Not only this, the minor could not contact his family members, so kept his mobile with him and while living in a rented house, the girl forcibly made physical relations with the minor. The hearing of this case was held in the special court (protection of children from sexual offences) of Indore.The girl was accused of seducing a minor and taking her with her to Gujarat and forcibly had physical relations with the minor.After hearing the case, the special court convicted the accused girl and sentenced her to 10 years of rigorous imprisonment and a fine of ₹ 3000.The special court said that it is not necessary that men should always be guilty in the POCSO Act,women can also be guilty.Sexual offenses with a minor, whether a boy or a girl, are committed by a woman or a man, both are punishable.
