The Bombay High court has ordered quashing of the f i.r. registered against two youths accused of molesting a woman.But it has also put a condition that both the parties will have to plant trees in the society. . According to the case, a woman had lodged a f.i.r. against two youths under section 354 and 509 of the Indian penal code at vikroli police station in Mumbai.
The counsel for the both sides informed before a bench of Justice P.B.Varale and Justice A S Kilor . the woman who filed the f i.r and both the youths are residents of the same society and they have friendly relations. the incident which led to the filling of the f.i.r. was a result of misunderstanding between the two parties.After registering the f.i.r.,both the parties settled the matter.
The woman also filed an affidavit before the court.In which it is said that both the parties have resolved the matter amicably and they are living happily in the same society.so in the interest of both the parties it is necessary to cancel the f.i.r . After hearing the High court ordered quashing of the f.i.r and the three to plant 10-10 trees in the society. the court has written in the order.obtain a tree plantation certificate from the secretary of the society and bring the certificate on the record of this petition with in 8 Weeks.
